French Painter Henri Rousseau
This painting is called Sleeping Gypsy and was painted in 1897. Henri was a self-taught painter and people would often make fun of the way he painted because he did not go to art school. Henri did not give up. Today his artwork is seen as beautiful, haunting and thought provoking. I am very fond of the moon light in this picture.
